Day 2 Filming Thursday 7th March - Kate

On Thursday 7th of March We Completed the filming side of "Commemorate"

Helena and I Like last time discussed what we would film first

- Olivia  Getting out of the walking in to the school.
- Drive down to the school.
-close ups of getting out the car - We took lots of shots from different angles .

- Bed room scene - We Changed costume , we did go with our original idea for the  costume which was a more adult looking uniform to casual day clothing - we couldn't make the second uniform fit in with the shots.

- To finish we focused on the main characters facial expression this is KEY as we have no talking , we need to get through to the audience that something has shocked the character.

We also had to change our props. - News paper to letter to our final choice - a phone (text) .

On Thursday we achieved finishing the film with out a group member - Max was unable to attend this filming day. With just two group members it was a struggle but we worked to our maximum and got everything completed .

 - Staff at School and Health and Safety ( florescent jacket )
Louise McKechnie - Discussion of rules we have to follow while filming at the school.

 -Inside the car.

-Dealing with weather conditions

Action shots -Getting out of the car - I had to remember what side I held my bag to carry on continuity with the footage we shot on Sunday.

Tracking shot following the car down to the school

Finished filming at the school!!!!.

First costume , hair and makeup change .

-Testing out different places to film from.

Use of Mirrors -This was hard to get accurate as getting the camera at the right angle was tricky we ended up with lots of footage we couldn't use as you could see the camera in the mirror but in the end we achieved the standard and enough shots that we wanted !.

  1. great documentation. You will certainly get very good research and planning marks guys - well done. Continue this good practice when editing and dont forget to get some audience feedback to help you with your decision making.
